STATION GALLERY
Page 5 (1999)
In a recent picture that Hedgy drew on Yerf.com, we were
both disappointed to find that the "deluxe train set" that we sent 427,671 box
tops for was...underwhelming. To make up for it, I gave her an official STRR
engineer's cap.
In this picture, my good
friend Loran waits for his train, baggage nearby and ticket at the ready. I hope he
enjoys his trip!
Here I am, pulling a tanker
car of blue paint to BlueSkunk Land. BlueSkunk Land is a new web
site created by MelSkunk, a talented artist and good friend. I'm pretty pleased with
this picture, as it enabled me to practice drawing side views of character faces, and the
"shagginess" of head- and tail-fur.
After several weeks of delays, I present
with great pride and gratitude my 50th picture! For this, I took the time to tip my
striped cap to some of my oldest Furry friends. These kind furs helped to introduce
me to the Furry world, and encourage me to keep drawing.
A long time ago, Thomas K. Dye was kind
enough to draw a pair of pictures of me. After many delays, I was finally able to
return the favor =0)
Nancy Errol, a talented diver, pauses
meditatively before executing a dive. This picture was done as an illustration for a
short story, written by my good friend, Matthew Adey.
Jenifur(a skunk friend of mine) poses,
showing her magpie-like wings to the reader. Getting her headfur right took a little
doing ;)
I drew this picture for Gen on a hot
summer day. Ahh, the simple joy of laying against a beanbag chair in an
air-conditioned room when it's hot and muggy outside.
Kattrina, a katilyr, poses for the
artist. Sorry this took so long to finish, Kattrina!
You thought that you were an
avid gamer, Kendall? They don't call me "The Buginator" for nothing ;)
Ya-hooo! My good friend, Angel
Bear, performs some angelic aerobatics for the reader. I hope to meet him in person
someday =0)
Catra paints up another linking button for her web site.
On her site, you
can choose one of 26 richly colored weblink button designs (13 anime and 13 furry) to put
on your site! This was the first time I used linear gradient coloring in a picture.
Nothing like tripling the memory in one's PC to open up possibilities!
Even a dainty Suth'n Belle like Miss
Catra O'Hara gets to have fun once in a while! This picture was my response to Catra's first pic of
me, which in turn was inspired by the movie Wild Wild West.
Hedgy, an expert of the "puppy dog
eyes" method of persuasion, demonstrates her art with her huge, forlorn,
manga-style
eyes. When she needs an extra boost, she generates several floating "cute
objects" to get people to give her what she wants. The color scheme of said
objects was inspired by the "Lisa Frank" goods I've seen in stores lately ;)
