TEMPEST SHADOW a.k.a. FIZZLEPOP BERRYTWIST

Tempest is a maroon-colored unicorn mare with a broken horn.

As a foal, Fizzlepop Berrytwist followed a wayward ball into a cave which was inhabited by an irritable Ursa that attacked her, breaking her horn. Although she survived the attack, Fizzlepop no longer could control her magic and was ostracized by her community. She left in search of a way to have her horn restored and over the ensuing years, became hardened and took on a new name to better suit herself.

Tempest Shadow encountered the Storm King and the warlord saw her value in his endeavors. Promising to restore her horn if she helped him capture the alicorns of Equestria whose power he needed, the Storm King set Tempest to lead his armies into battle against various nations as he worked his way to his ultimate goal. After she invaded Canterlot and captured Prince Mark Wells, Princess Twilight Sparkle, and Princess Trixie Lulamoon, the Storm King betrayed Tempest. When Mark Wells escaped and defeated the Storm King, she swore loyalty to the Equestrian Triarchy and was ordered to take command of the invading forces and order them to stand down. She was subsequently sent to the conquered nations to restore order while Twilight worked on a means to restore Tempest's horn. Eventually, this was accomplished, although with a surprising result. Her restored horn was golden yellow which Tempest put down to her mother's genes as that was the color of her horn. Tempest does not care about the color though and the Triarchy has her undying loyalty because of it.
