IVORY SCROLL a.k.a. MAYOR MARE

Ivory is an earth pony mare who is the mayor of Ponyville. She has been in the job for so long that she has become known as Mayor Mare and few recall her true name. Ivory is content with being identified with the job because she intends for it being her life's work. As such, she works hard to ensure that the citizens of her township are happy with the way the town is run.

Ivory has a secret – she is nowhere near as old as she looks. Her mane and tail are naturally bright pink but she dyes it grey. Having decided to run for political office at a very young age, she realized that her youth would work against her, so she dyed her hair to look older, and wears very low prescription spectacles to augment that perception. The glasses are of minor help when reading, but she chose that style so she could easily look over the rim directly at somepony or something with perfect clarity.

Ivory has a counterpart in the anthro universe who is just as hard-working.
