PRINCESS/PRINCE GEMINI

Gemini is a unique being in that they are two ponies in one body – a unicorn mare and a pegasus stallion. They can instantly interchange either instinctively or at will.

Gemini is the first child/children of Trixie Lulamoon and Mark Wells. Their offspring's unusual nature is believed to be a consequence of Mark's magically mutated genes. As a young filly/colt, Gemini transitioned between forms readily, but as they grew up, it became very apparent that they had different personalities, and sometimes they were reluctant to allow their other half to take over. However, as they had no choice in the matter, they normally quickly compromised. This problem came to a head during puberty when hormones and sexual tensions threatened their emotional stability. However, they gained a suitor in Crystal Shield, a royal changeling who lives as a pegacorn stallion. Because Crystal Shield can shape-change, he happily transformed into a mare whenever Gemini assumed their male pegasus form, thus satisfying the neeeds of both. Gemini eventually proposed and they got married. Gemini intends to have a foal eventually, but as being pregnant would prevent their stallion half from manifesting, that has been postponed until they are prepared to make that sacrifice.

Gemini splits their time between Equestria and the Crystal Kingdom, learning how to govern wisely. As Trixie's firstborn daughter (their male counterpart notwithstanding), they are her heir and have the royal title of Princess/Prince. Neither bothers using that title except in very specific formal occasions.
