Apicula is a royal changeling of the Southern Wastes Hive, daughter of the deceased Queen Dactylia.

Apicula was mind-controlled by a neural net made by the Overseer and sent to assassinate Prince Mark Wells. The plot failed and Apicula freed. She is now the hive's new queen which was rebuilt
